MEET LVH
Who the heck are we? We come from a variety of backgrounds but we all have one thing in common and that's to provide you the best in our field.
Ron Baran ron@lvhentertainment.com
Ron is a product of the Midwest: Downers Grove, Illinois. After college at the University of Arizona, and a long six years with the United States Airforce, he spent more than ten years in the construction trades, which finally led him to the theatrical rigging field. Now, he has more than fifteen years in the field and has been with LVH since 1997, when he started out as our field rigging superintendent. Currently, Ron is the project manager of rigging.
As Project Manager—for six years now—Ron and his staff are the ones who make it all work. Getting a project from the "drawing board" to completion can test the skills of just about anyone, but with his knowledge and patience Ron makes it look easy. He is the "go-to-guy" when you want to "get 'er done!"
Laura Driskell laura@lvhentertainment.com
According to Laura, her job description defies description. She might be designated the Office Manager with overtones of retail salesperson, accountant, purchaser, shipping and receiving clerk and, when things go wrong, the office machine technician and official boo-boo fixer. Every company needs one...
Susan Kokoszka susan@lvhentertainment.com
Susan does a lot for LVH, in fact she does so much we had to promote her to Vice President and General Manager, but this promotion only formalizes the responsibilities she's been performing all along. Susan does it all! And no matter how busy she might be, Susan is always willing to lend a hand where needed, or take on another project, or just make sure everybody around her is OK. You'll probably find her picture under "team player" in the dictionary...
Doug Nelson dougnelson@lvhentertainment.com
Doug is our new Project and Operations Manager in charge of project management, evaluation and refinement of operational systems and procedures. Prior to joining LVH, Doug was the Manager of Engineering and Manufacturing Services for DeSisti Rigging & Automation in Mountainside, NJ. He received his BS in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers School of Engineering. And, being a recent emigre from New Jersey, Doug says he'll miss the rain, but not the snow.
Mark Stickelmaier mark@lvhentertainment.com
Mark is a principal of LVH. He has been working in the theatrical and entertainment industry-related field since the '80s. The '90s began with him owning half of Stickelmaier Enterprises, Inc., d.b.a. Grid Electric. Then, in 1996 along with Luanna Van Holten, he formed LVH Entertainment Systems, a division of LVH Electric, Inc.
Now, Mark is responsible for sales, administration of office functions, project management, estimating, and supervision of field personnel. His extensive experience and thorough technical training give him a vast knowledge of the field, and the ability to see solutions to complex problems.
Luanna Van Holten lvanholten@lvhentertainment.com
In 1996, Luanna - a principle of LVH, and all its spit and fire - formed the company with Mark Stickelmaier. With her extensive experience in the technical areas of large and small theatre, film, video, and concert production, she provides twenty years of expertise as an end user of all the products and services offered by LVH. If you want to know what it is, how it works, whether you need it, or whether you have it, she's the one to talk to.
Luanna is currently responsible for, but not limited to by any means (in fact, don't mention "limitations" around her, okay?), administrative control of the company, contract administration, marketing, and the Last Word.
